Every great team has a story, and our Women’s Met 7 side just wrote one for the books.

Five years ago, this group came together in the Junior competition.

The first three seasons? Not a single win.

Week after week, they showed up anyway, training hard, fighting the frustration and learning how to communicate and play the game together.

There was a lot of learning.

But it was laying the foundation for what was to come.

Fast forward to 2025, and the persistence has paid off.

In the semi-final, the Rams delivered a confident 3–0 win against Centenary Stormers, showing just how far they’ve come.

Then came the big dance, the Grand Final against Southside Eagles.

It was a tight and tense contest, but one moment made all the difference: Hannah, who hadn’t scored all season, stepped up with the match-winning goal. Her timing couldn’t have been better, sealing a 1–0 victory and the championship title.

In the early days, the girls struggled to click and they endured through plenty of tough losses. But through time, persistence, and commitment to showing up, they’ve grown into a team that works for each other, not just alongside each other.

Congratulations to the players, coaches, and families who’ve been part of the ride. From five years of building and learning to lifting the trophy, this victory is proof of what patience, growth, and Rams spirit can achieve.
